***Everest Update***

Sunday saw a day of admin and a bit of sightseeing. They finished the evening with a Nepalese meal with the sherpers before settling down for the night ahead of their flight to Lukla the next day. The flight is only 30 mins long but due to the conflicting winds the turbulence can be pretty bad. Apparently, you can drop up to 500ft and feel like you are going to crash - yet this is normal!!

They arrived in Lukla earlier this morning to start their trek to the first T house in Namche Bazar (3440m above sea level). All being well, they will be trekking for about 4.5hrs today before arriving in Phakding where they will stay overnight. The team managed to do a live Facebook feed when they stopped for lunch a short while ago.

Tuesday sees them starting to cross most of the bridges. The highest one is 100ft taller than the Shard in London and 150 meters wide - and they could be sharing that bridge with a yak.

Contact with them will be limited but we will try and keep you updated with their progress.
